I specialize in people, all types and kinds. A face for me holds an eternity. It contains all the faces that came before it. It is a kaleidoscope of fleeting emotions and nuance. This is what draws me. As I photograph a face, I'm watching and I'm waiting. I wait for that flicker of unintended revelation. I know it as I'm getting it and I know when I've got it.

These moments are the most exciting and quiet at the same time. These are the moments that thrill me. I love seeing the final print, when a moment has become a thing, an object, a photograph.

My point of view is from the inside out. It flows directly from my interior stream and is the sum total of all the people I've met, all the books I've read and all the places I've been.

My style is film-noirish. I am an urban creature of the night. I like my locations dark, moody, atmospheric, mysterious, and suggestive of something about to happen. I also like the evocative feeling that unknown things have happened there.

In photographing people, I am a voyeur enjoying the spectacle of us being above all, human.

I specifically go out exploring in order to see what and who I run into, and where my instincts will take me. I try to let go of all preconceived ideas and just see what attracts me. I'm fascinated by why something attracts me. I don't always know why a thing grabs me but when it does, I just go with it. I like to tune into the special ambiance of a place, its history and mystery, a fleeting moment, juxtaposition, an expression.
